It’s super hard to keep feelings in check,
Like trying to hold water with a net.
Those moments hit, stomach drops,
We snap, regret the emotional chops.
Feelings crash, then guilt creeps,
Even when others are the ones who leap.
It’s rough, shaking off those moods,
Staying chill takes major attitude.
I’ve struggled, anxiety’s a beast,
Makes every little thing feel increased.
After loads of tears, heartache’s school,
I found a trick, honestly, it’s cool.
Empathy’s my newfound way,
Not just what, but why people say
What they say, or do what they do,
Slip in their shoes, view their view.
I’m working on me, trying to grow,
Sometimes honesty’s the way to go.
Is getting worked up worth my time?
Or is staying calm the better climb?
I’m not perfect, my emotions slip,
Like indulging in chips on a guilt trip.
But mastering them is worth the fight,
Next time, I’ll try to be the light.
Let’s be kind, especially when others feel small,
Being human, that’s the call.
So, here’s a thought, from me to you,
Master your moods, and find your true.
