Words slip through my fingers, they crumble away,
Like trying to catch light on a cloudy day.
This pain, it lingers, but I can’t quite say,
How it feels like I’ve been pushed off a mountain’s sway.
Numbness creeps in, like a thief in the night,
Maybe it’s shock, denial, or fright.
The hurt runs so deep, it’s out of my sight,
So intense, it fades, like stars losing their light.
A tingle spreads, a shiver in my skin,
Wanting to scream, but not from within.
Tears sit in my eyes, but they won’t begin,
Wishing this ending would just let me win.
But here I am, at the edge of it all,
The end of the fight, where the mighty fall.
Helpless I stand, against this tall wall,
Wishing, just wishing, for a different call.
We build our homes in others’ hearts,
Brick by brick, we play our parts.
We fill them up with love and care,
Hoping to find some comfort there.
We paint the walls with trust so deep,
In their embrace, we long to sleep.
We judge ourselves by how they see,
Thinking that’s the way to be.
But when they leave, they take it all,
The roof, the walls, the heart’s soft call.
Suddenly we’re out in the cold,
Feeling empty, lost, and old.
It’s not that we’ve got nothing left,
Just that we gave away our best.
We put our worth in someone’s hands,
And now we’re left with shifting sands.
The truth is, home’s not in their eyes,
It’s in the place where your soul lies.
So build your home within your heart,
Where it can never fall apart.
Stop sitting around, waiting for a change,
No one’s coming to save you, it’s time to rearrange.
Don’t wait for love, or the perfect day,
Stop holding your breath, life’s slipping away.
How often do you scroll, just killing time,
Lost in your phone, like you’re waiting for a sign?
Or filling every gap with calls and shows,
But deep down, that emptiness grows.
It’s like eating and eating but never getting full,
Taking in so much, yet feeling so dull.
You’re waiting for something, you can’t quite name,
But nothing’s coming, it’s all the same.
Stop waiting for that magic fix,
It’s time to move, it’s time to mix.
Life won’t change just because you sit still,
It’s up to you to climb that hill.
