It was like our whole world had been turned upside down.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But tough times do not hold the pen to our story. We do. Personally for me, the whole experience of lockdown has been quite transforming. It has challenged my perceptions and forced me to slow down, pause, reevaluate my priorities, commitments, core values and things I care deeply about. In a nutshell, facing my reflection in the mirror. And I\u2019m so grateful for all the learnings.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Truth be told, I don\u2019t know why I had to wait till 2020. Maybe because our society normalizes &#8211; hell even praises us for being constantly on the go. And also facing the truth isn\u2019t always so pretty. This year showed me the significance of self-care and I believe it helped me in becoming a better version of myself. I feel as if I\u2019ve discovered a part of me that I didn\u2019t believe existed. And I guess, that\u2019s true for many of us too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The amount of loss we\u2019ve seen this year has been gut-wrenching. Be it the all time high death tolls, massive layoffs, tanking of industries or everyday things like normal human interactions, travelling freely or eating out at your favorite restaurant. 2020 was a great reminder for counting our blessings and never taking anything for granted. I realize this now more than ever.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This year was devastating, but I\u2019m a believer in optimism and I hope that you are too. Remember, every crisis brings opportunity and the only way is up. I would love to hear your own 2020 stories.
