I\u2019m truly blessed.
I\u2018ve family & friends who really care,
Meaningful work that fills my day,
A lovely home to rest and play,
Then, why am I so emotionally insane?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Numerous voices inside my head,
Some are logical, some nightmares,
A wave of emotions has cracked my brain,
I\u2019m fighting & thrashing against the current.
It’s a dark, gloomy and terrifying night,
Drowning in emotions
I\u2019m waiting for the sunrise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Don\u2019t cry, you will get migraine
Is it the past that is keeping you awake?
Stop fighting and just go with the flow,
I hear this phrase from a source unknown,
Come out of the shadows and stop the waves,
If you really care and feel my pain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This overwhelming fear of everything in life,
the fanatic running of screenplays in mind,
or waking up frustrated in the middle of the night,
on why is everyone sleeping so tight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I get you, I feel you.
You can’t control how you feel,
but you can control how you respond to it.
Stop ruminating and just let it go,
You are a human and this a detour.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Be present in the moment
and practice mindfulness.
When the next wave comes,
take slow, deep breaths,
inhale and exhale.
Stay in your body
and not in the head.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This is anxiety and it never goes away,
